Title: Auto Upgrade, or what moves over?
Post by: skifastbadly on July 18, 2016, 05:04:53 pm
So I'm running MC21 and it's working great but since I bought the upgrade in May or so I figured I might as well move to MC22.

I sort of thought that MC21 would let me know that an upgrade is available but it didn't...so I assume that MC22 has to be downloaded and installed, which I did.

What I'm not clear on is what, exactly, MC22 can derive from the info in MC21.  In other words, one of my libraries was not found and I had to re-create it.  It would seem that this would be something that would carry over.   On the other hand, the DLNA information associated with my Yamaha receiver was recognized.

What else should I be checking as I move over?

Thanks

MC22 should find older libraries and convert them.  At least for MC20 and MC21.

You can back up a library in an old version and restore it in a newer one.
