I have been having some problems getting the size of the sync to my ipod correct. And I am glad you added the "Avail space after synch" calculation because now I see what is going on.
Here is the setup; I have a smartlist #1 that is defined as "[Genre]=[Punk],[Ska] ~sort=random ~s=2500", the problem is when I have a playlist defined as using the smarlist #1. When I go to the sync dialog, I select smartlist #1 and it shows up correctly, but when I select the second one there should be no change in the size since it is only using the songs from the first smartlist, but it seems that when I select the #2 smartlist, it is getting different songs. What is wrong?

Brian,
Do you have more than 2500 minutes of music from Punk and Ska? If so, Smartilist one has different songs in it each time you return to it and therefore smartlist 2 will also be different which can account for different Available Space.

Yes I have more than 2500mb of music in the Punk/Ska genre's. But I am not talking about returning to it, but just selecting the playlists in the synch dialog.

I will recheck this tomorrow.

Brian,
I duplicated what you see. The reason the size changes is that when you add the second playlist, the selected files update themselves. Because of your rule ~2500, when you add smartlist 2, smartlist 1 recalculates which songs are in it and therefore smartlist 2 changes as well.

Would it be possible for you to fix it so it doesn't recalculate the smartlists when you are in the sync dialog?

For now, this is not possible. In the future, yes.
