Title: When does MC22 become the "recommended" version?
Post by: Sky King on July 28, 2016, 06:53:15 am
Number of outstanding critical issues, etc.?  Would simply like to know what the developer's thought process is.

Maybe soon.  We haven't created too many problems yet.

Thanks Jim.  MC22 is very stable for what I use it for and no complaints at all.

Quick question  I finally took the plunge and installed MC22, but did not delete MC21 from my computer.  Should I do so?  Any advantage in keeping MC21?

Just uninstall it when you're happy with MC22.

Thanks - so there's no conflict in having both installed for now?

As long as there aren't any running components (namely: Media Server) held over from MC21 it's OK to keep installed.

If you never enabled automatic media server startup then it is not an issue. If you did, disable it in MC21 and restart and you'll be good to go. You can normally see its icon in the tray or check for its running process in task viewer.
