Title: Error communicating to server
Post by: Bodtje on July 29, 2016, 06:58:45 am
Hi,

I'm using MediaCenter 21.0.83 under Windows 10 on my desktop PC.
On my Galaxy tablet I'm running Gizmo to play the music of my library in the kitchen. This has been working fine for years.
But this week all of a sudden I always get the Error Communicating to Server message.
What I tried: fresh installs of MC 21 and Gizmo, System Restore of Windows to an earlier state when all went well, etc. etc.
What is strange is that when I open the Options tab in MC21 and I select Media Network, even when I don't change anything, the program freezes when I click OK.
This doesn't happen with any other choice.

What could be wrong?
Thanks in advance,
Bodtje

Yes, from Windows, but it has always been there and I didn't change anything...

Something may have.

I just checked it. There's an exception for MC21 both public and private.
But could the Firewall cause the freeze of the Options Panel??

OK, I solved it myself. I always sticked to the stable updates but now I downloaded the latest (unstable?) version of MC21.
And everything seems to work fine until now...

 :)
