Title: no inline edit
Post by: patented_licks on August 01, 2016, 04:49:56 pm
In selecting rename on a field, the ability to edit the field is only momentary, then is lost – edit spontaneously closes. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this? (The workaround is to edit using the tag facility, but inline edit used to work.)

I can't reproduce anything strange.

Is it all views or just a certain view?

Do you have any third party software that might steal the focus?

Thanks.

The problem is in all views.

There is no 3rd-party software taking the focus.

The problem started in v21, and has carried over in v22. My strong suspicion is that it involves a setting that is stored in the library file. The same problem occurs on another computer (which I transfer the library file to). I cannot attach a library file where this occurs (size limit problem on your server).

Could you email a library backup to me?  I'm matt at jriver dot com.

Thanks!

Wow, that was interesting!

I'm not sure why it works fine on my library and doesn't work at all on your library.

But in any event, next build:
Fixed: In-place editing would stop immediately with some libraries.
