I just installed V22 yesterday and just now ran Malwarebytes and came up clean.

Why did you install Emsisoft software?
The Windows Defender program is built-in and does a very good job. If you want extra protection, the free Malwarebytes software is the most highly recommended on the Win10 forum (I use the paid version and it has no problems with MC22). Whatever you use, be sure to go to the program's settings and exclude scanning of the media files and MC files.

Emsisoft is very good and we've been using it for many years. I really do not see that as an issue.

The real concern as far as I am concerned is why MC22 suddenly reports of all things - Crypto Malware!
In our business we have had experience with customers getting Crypto infections and they are no fun at all.
Emsisoft has been very proactive and managed to clear a few infected systems.

As for my issues, I would hope and expect the develops of MC to respond and answer this one when they are able.
Thx

Malwarebytes here also.  One of the best imo.  If you want to shop for av there are a few groups out there that compare them every year.  When you find an effective av program that doesnt kack up MC you have a good thing.  False positives can be nearly as bad as false negatives.

If you're wondering if antivirus software might sometimes make a mistake, please read a little of this thread:

Thanks - very interesting and enlightening.
Did not realise there were so many issues.
Unfortunately these programs are a necessary evil these days.

I've made contact with Emsisoft to do assist, as I cannot see how to allow MC22 to run
Every time it re-quarantines the exe file.
Thx
