Do MC plays midi files with anyone or its just happen with me only !?
-
Nope no midi playback here either. I just get a select files to play message...

But the program in the assosication menu seems to support it but dont play it... dont know why they dont wanna fix it! :-/
-
MC used to play Midi.
I just tried it & you are right... MC 9.1 won't even let me see my 4000+ midi files on the hard drive.
I also can not import them either even though MIDI is checked on th Import screen.
I guess I will have to brush the dust off of my Real One player (again) or worse yet use the Creative Play Center for my MIDI's... BUMMER :-[

I too feel that support of MIDI would be a basic requirement for such a program.
-
We will check it.
-
It will be fixed in the next build.

It will be fixed in the next build
Thank You

It has been fixed guys in 226.. but MC used to have a media editor for MP3 files and etc...
why not have a MIDI editor like cakewalk or something ??[/u]
it does not has to be too much for experts..
i would be happy for myself if it has been done with a basic setting like editing, muting, deleting and adding tracks for the midi song...(i think it could be a standalone midi editor, or features appears when oppening a midi file with MC Media Editor)
Who is with me ??[/u] (consider it a vote :))
-
Agreed. Seeing how an MC MIDI editor would be an external program anyway it serves no advantage over just having a midi editor already installed. And lets face it Cakewalk, Steinberg and Emagic would have about a 20 year head start over J River...Thats some mountain to climb to catch up!!

if that it is..so why not having the ability to add any external programs to MC just like right clicking on a midi file in the liberary and then send to --> cakewalk !?? ;)
-
You can already do that. Go into the Send to external options of the send to menu and set up a send to link to Cakewalk... Does exactly what you want it to do...
-
Got it ;)
