Title: Import window - how does the drop down list get populated?

When performing a manual import, there is a drop down list next to the Browse button. How does this list get populated? On my system, it is full of entries that I have never run an import on. The top 5 locations listed are AMD Catalyst driver install folders and the next 8 are folders from various other program's like IE, Realtek, and Python.
