Title: Duplicates in MC
Post by: fdgsdfg on August 03, 2003, 04:27:55 am
Hey,

I recently migrated my library (different directories, same drive).  I now have triple entries for ALL my songs.  >:(

Is there a way to remove the dups?  There are NO duplicate files, only dup entries in MC.  If I delete one entry, the file is deleted (and none of the entries will play).

Thx.  F RIAA

look under playlists\smartlists there is one setup to look for dups

you can add ,[duration] to it if you wish to match dups that have matching play times.

If you are confident that all tag information is stored in the files it might be easier just to reimport all the files.  You could simply create a new library and import all files from your hard disk again.

I have had this occur several times and lost many files before I realized what was happening.
Now I leave them alone and hope that this gets fixed.

you should clear your libray then and re-import.

or they are going to be in there untill you switch jukeboxes.
