Title: Grouping Suggestions

Now that we have Smartlists / Panes / Tree / Views etc., the options are (almost) overwhelming.  I also just used tagging mode to complete the 'Situation' field that I had never used before.

It got me to thinking that instead of trying to come up with my own configurations, I should try to find out what other people are doing.

I just created a Situation/Genre/Rating Smartlist that I think will work for me.  

What have the rest of you made that works for you?  What about photo organizing?

My favorite is still:

Artist / Artist / Album

(With the first 'Artist' cluster grouped by 3's or 1's as you prefer)

I can find "Whatever" by "Whoever"
. . . . in a 'NY minute'.

personally I don't care much about when   . . . I thnk ya get like that as you age

audio I have:

Year/Track type (custom field for 'full album/single/soundtrack/etc.')/artist (group 3)/artist/Album (group 3)/Year - Album (custom field)


Thats my default one - i have several more too.


images I have:

year/country/location/events/people


They both work GREAT - unfortunately - I'm stuck on a 19" right now which has a 1280x1024 max resolution instead of my normal 1600x1200 - and as the panes dont resize - the grouping fields mean that alot of those fields end up truncated so it'll depend a lot on what res. u have :)
