Title: 21.0.90 hanging frequently
Post by: TXgary on September 05, 2016, 08:02:09 pm
I have been a MC user for years all the way back to 7.0
Have had intermittent hangs where it tells me to wait on or cancel.  I wait and it eventually frees up only to freeze again withing 10 seconds.  It is the only application that does this and it does it on 4 of my machines.  Yes I am running windows 10, but it was doing it prior to 10.  I bought a new ASUS I7 machine and it seems even worse.

I did reinstall MC21 with release 90 but still a problem.  I do not know what to do.
I do have a log but can not make anything out of it.  Here is the log.

Thanks for your help.

Hey Jim, what about Antivirus?  Did you see something in the log?
I would really like to resolve this.
I am using Free Avast product, have for years.

It appears to be a drive attached to my WDMyCloud network drive.
I am going to remove that drive from the Network and make it local to a machine and see if that makes a difference.
Does the log show anything?

Search for antivirus problems.

This was a great case of "pointing the finger at the wrong product"
It appears that the drive with the movies cannot be attached to a network drive as it simply is not fast enough.  I moved the drive from network attached to usb3 attached to my main pc.  Now runs very quickly.  Who would have thunk it.
I appreciate your thoughts.  Wish I knew how to read the log I produced.
