Title: Skipping tracks
Post by: sadaunhe1 on September 06, 2016, 04:23:14 pm
Hello,

I have imported Handel's Messiah from a set of CDs where tracks 14a-16 play then move immediately to track 17, with no pause. In MC22, playback jumps a seemingly random number of tracks forward. I've tried several times (at least 5) to see if the jump is repetitive in length, but it's not, except for the fact that it always jumps forward in the queue, never backward. All of the tracks are properly encoded and will play back correctly, if played individually. Can anyone suggest how to overcome this problem?

Are you playing to a network device?

Hello, Jim,

Yes; the tracks are located on a NAS device. The tracks move ahead normally, if I use a player that's part of the NAS software. In MC22, however, the tracks skip ahead randomly.

So you're playing from the NAS.  What are you playing to?
