Title: Stop the next movie from playing
Post by: CHaun on September 16, 2016, 09:56:42 am
When I watch a movie in standard view and it ends, the next one alphabetically on the server starts automatically. Is there some setting to change that, so that it returns to the home screen at the end of the movie?

By default, when you double click on a file in standard view, MC does "play all visible", which adds your file (movie) and all others you can see in that view to Playing Now.

Instead of double clicking, you can right click and select "play"; that will play just that movie.  or you can change your double click behavior to something else:
Tools > Options > General > Behavior > Double click > (set option here)

Or, with the movie playing, you can right click on the stop button and choose "stop after current file".

It depends on if you mean in Theater View or in Standard View...

In Theater View when you play a file, choose Watch instead of Watch All. When you hit "Enter/OK" on the item you want to play, it jumps the cursor up to the "secondary roller menu". The default is whichever version of "Watch" you last used. So, do this once, and it'll remember it for the future (that will become the "default choice").

In Standard View, you can change the setting found under Tools > Options > General > Behavior > Double-click from Replace Playing Now (All) to Replace Playing Now (single).

I got ninja'd by Brian because I wrote that response and then my Internets broke for an hour and.... Sigh.

But, I included Theater View information, so my post was better.  ;) :P

Jury's out on that one as the OP specifically asked for help when using standard view... Brian's eye's are better :P :D
