Title: Downloaded hi-res file from England
Post by: michiganmike711 on October 08, 2016, 10:13:18 pm
I downloaded a classical hi-res file from England, the first time I have ever done so.  It came in as a zip file which included the cover graphics.  I extracted it without a problem.  It is on the same drive as all my JR files but does not show up in JR.

When I double click on the file, it plays with something called My Groove.

How do I get JR to incorporate the music?  I assume once that happens, I can add the cover jpg.

thanks  mike

what are the files extension (.blabla) you may need to add the extension type so MC plays it. >tools>options>file type> scroll till the find the .blabla and if it is not checked check it

It most likely was imported your just not finding it where you expected it to be. check the tab recent albums and see it it shows up there...if there are multiple albums you would need to adjust the tags accordingly.

or you need to tell MC to import it, It needs to be inside a "watched" folder for MC to locate it

For specific guidance check out the Wiki (see the bottom of every forum page). Here's an entry that's got promise:
http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/File_Types (http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/File_Types)

I'll leave it to the OP to sleuth further. The Audiophile and Audio Setup entries could also provide good guidance. Give it a look.
