Title: HP CD-Writer + 8200 MC Burning Problems

Just tried on 222 to burn a CD.  It burned all the tracks but at the end, the was a "GPF" and MC was shutdown.  THe last 3 songs on the CD are unplayable with MC.

Anyone else have an older HP burner with or without MC burning problems?

Have you tried burning at a slower speed?

Yup, and test mode too.  Many builds back, I sent JohnT a CDwriter.LOG but I never really heard back, so I've just been sporadically trying a burn every couple of builds.

Is there something else I can do/send to help with this or is my burner so old as to not be worth the time?

I know you sent a log file in the past, but I've added more diagnostic messages so it would be useful if you could create two more log files (one in data mode test burning and one in audio mode test burning) and send them to me. You'll have to rename the first log file
before making the second one to avoid overwriting it.

Is the HP 8200 an internal or external unit?

You got it. :)  It's an internal unit.  You should have mail in a bit...
