Read through a couple of threads on here and they seem to me to be more than a little convoluted for me (Mr average tv consumer).
Which is the simplest route? I was getting PG using MC and Microsoft legacy but this has stopped.
If there is a paid EPG alternative could this be a paid add-on for MC?
I really would prefer to use one supplier and one support option for my MC needs and not have to deal with third party support outside MC.
Any suggestions TIA

Trevor, I can't vouch for simple but I can in terms of effective - I adapted the advice here:
EPG Collector setup for the UK (http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php/topic,77177.0.html)
for Australian conditions and it's worked just fine.
EPGC can be set up to scrape movie and TV meta data from well regarded public domain sources, so it can offer some pretty rich pickings.
MC22 is under development for DVB OTA EPG scanning in EIT format - bear in mind this is pretty fresh. How useful that is for UK experience, I can't comment. What I'm seeing for Australia is a pretty good strike rate although TV Season/Episode data is not great but I think that's more due to the data that's broadcast.
I found this info from a quick search that might help:
http://wiki.xmltv.org/index.php/Britain_and_Ireland (http://wiki.xmltv.org/index.php/Britain_and_Ireland)
How current the sources are, are shown in the listings.
