I do not have an opinion about the panes.
Look like i do not need them and will need 10 years to master it....
But i want to use 9,1 because of the long names trick in Burn.
So ,can you tell me ,STEEP BY STEEP ,keeping in mind you speak to a 5 years old boy how to get Artist/album normal [ not grouped by letters] AND how to get Artist/Album grouped by letters, having only the letter show in the tree
A
B
C
D
ect.
Right now ,i would like to keep the panes as well. To play with it and try to understand if i need them.
Thank you

Are you really 5 Years Old?

So ,can you tell me ,STEP BY STEP ... how to get Artist/album normal
Right click on audio in the tree.
Add view scheme
Empty
Now at the top of the right hand window, click where it says "Empty - Click here to configure"
Choose your columns (click the same bar each time)
Artist
Album
Name
When you finish, right click on the scheme and edit it again. Check the box called "populate tree".
This is obviously too complicated and we will add the scheme you're talking about in the next version or two.

Merci !!
Waiting for the second scheme. to be in one of the next built
It is very convenient when you have a lot of songs.
For now ,to have Artist/Album in the tree will do ,really.
King
Well i'am a little more than 5 .
But with MC ,i do feel so young.
Things change to often to me to master the beast.
Just we got the help files in 9 ..BOOM a all new 9,1 is out....
Of cause i can stay with 9 ,or 8 or 7.
But EVERYTIME there is one or more small things i really 'want'
Missing sleeves ,incomplete albums ,shemes in 9
And the long file name trick when burning with 9,1.
So ..another time 'lost in the jungle'

Do what Jim said, but add "Artist" twice. Then in the left-hand "Artist" pane, click on header, select "Column properties...," and then turn on grouping with "Grouping Size" set to 1.
