Title: Anyone still using OSX 10.6?
Post by: JimH on November 02, 2016, 11:20:51 am
We're about to make a change that will require us to drop support for 10.6.   Current versions of MC22 will work on 10.6, but future versions won't.

I'm posting here to make sure it doesn't affect too many people.

Ahh, Snow Leopard. That was the first OS X I ever installed on a PC (Hackintosh FTW!).

I'm assuming this is because of the OpenGL requirement being increased, because of a little feature called Theater View that's about to land? What's the new minimum OS X required? 10.7 or 10.8?

10.7 and above wouldn't be affected.

Yes but that Mac is so old I would not object to support being dropped.
Apple dropped support for that hardware five years ago anyway - which is the only reason I think anyone would still be running 10.6
It would be good if you could keep a link for 22.0.30 (the last 10.6 build?) around on the download page somewhere as a "legacy" version for anyone that does require it.

I am running 10.6.  Though my hardware does support 10.7, I have not upgraded. The last time I checked, they still charge for 10.7, which seems pretty silly, since the last few new versions are free.
