Title: MC Freezes in the middle of playing

I have MC9.1.2222 Beta version installed, but experienced this same problem with earlier beta versions. When I am playing a song in MC, maybe 20% of the time, the player freezes right in the middle of a song. The "play" button is still selected, hitting "Pause" doesn't correct anything, but if I hit the "Stop" button it will stop, reset and I can start over.

Is this possibly a MC issue, or could it be memory? (By the way, I have a 3 GHz P4 processor and 512 MB DDR RAM.)

I get this every time my dial up modem starts dialling or disconnecting.  That's the only time it happens and it happens every time.

My PC is connected to a network that is always connected to DSL through a router.  There doesn't seem to be any stutter or any other "attempt" to do anything when this occurs. Could this still be the culprit?

Sounds like a hardward / driver conflict.  Updating sound card drivers may help.

Try playing from a different source / drive too to see if that's the problem.
