I was digging around in my treasure trove of Items in my storage shed and found my basic training platoon picture. we just came back from the firing ranges\road march.

The Drill Sargent would not be happy with the shine on those boots! Then again I'd not argue with the guy front and centre.

yes that's me.
I tried looking up some of the people (I have their names in my yearbook), like 10 of them, and could not find any of them on facebook.
I wonder how many are alive or dead, here 40+ years later.

I reckon the trick that my CSM pulled when we came back to the barracks from a stint out bush was a class act. He showered and changed into starched greens with spitted boots and had the regimental band march us in. We looked like bags of puss and didn't smell much better but he made us feel like a million bucks.
