Title: Strange flickering icon in dock
Post by: Guuz on November 20, 2016, 06:51:01 am
I have two icons from Media Center in my dock, one normal and the other on the right side is constantly moving!?

I've seen this before; many times actually.  It's nothing to worry about, but it is kind of confusing isn't it?

What this means is that MC is reading your files.  The bouncing icon is a temporary "helper" program that is reading one or more files.  It's probably building thumbnails for your video files.  That's when I see the most of these bouncing helpers.

When MC is finished indexing or rebuilding thumbnails, the bouncing helpers won't show up any more.

I only see it pop up for a moment when starting (or manually running auto-import) here. Then it goes away.
