Title: photo: imported date corrected but... (HELP !)

I imported and tagged all my photos with a previous version of MC which imported only exif date part (not exif time part). Now I would like to correct  the 'date' tags without to lost the others tags.

I don't find a way to do that. Help please !

As long as you've allowed MC to tag the files you won't lose anything when doing an "Update from Tags".

Matt, I was not clear.

I have all my phto tagged with a previous version of MC which produced "wrong" tag date. For example, the photo below, dated 2003-06-29_14h14-02 has the following tag:

MJMD Tag: v1.0 (733 bytes - APPID 9)
  <MJMD>
  <Tool_Name>Media Center</Tool_Name>
  <Tool_Version>9.1.210</Tool_Version>
  <Source>Canon Digital Ixus</Source>
  <Name>2003-06-29_14h14-02</Name>
  <Date>37801,0000000000000000</Date>
  </MJMD>

when the "right" tag is:

MJMD Tag: v1.0 (733 bytes - APPID 9)
  <MJMD>
  <Tool_Name>Media Center</Tool_Name>
  <Tool_Version>9.1.222</Tool_Version>
  <Source>Canon Digital Ixus</Source>
  <Name>2003-06-29_14h14-02</Name>
  <Date>37801,5930787037070000</Date>
  </MJMD>

I don't found any way to get this right last tag without to "remove tag", delete the photo from MC library and then reimport it. But of course, doing that I loss all my tag  :'(

Salut Michel,

Je pense que je vois ce que Matt veux dire, (I think I know what Matt means)

One thing you can try (I did a quick test with 9.1.222).

- select the photos with the wrong dates (try just one first)
- go to Properties/File Info and clear (blank) the General/Date field by selecting the value and hitting 'delete'
- you can check in file format that the Date tag has been removed not the others
- now Library Tools/Update Lib from tags
- Your date field should be Ok now date+time and all the other tags unaffected

I think the pbm with the exif date+time not beeing imported correctly came from a locale problem.
