Title: Connecting a DAC to Computer/JRiver

I just connected a Chord Electronics QX (British version) DAC via USB. In the "digital output" this DAC is shown as either "Chord Async USB 44.1 - 384 kHz (Direct Sound) or the same but with "WASAPI" .... the "Direct Sound" works the other does not. The problem is, I am forced to use a maximum of 176.4 kHz/24 bit when playing 352.8/64 bit source files, well within the capability of the DAC. When I move the cursor over the DSP button it says using "Direct Sound (not a direct connection)". How can I allow the DAC to play at higher sample rate? Remember, when I selected the WASAPI version, I got no sound from the DAC. THANK YOU very much.

Long shot - you might re-install the drivers/software for the QX.
