Title: Progress bar delay when track changes
Post by: davidw55 on November 25, 2016, 07:36:41 pm
Hi there

I'm using MC 22 (Linux) as a DLNA server with JRemote IOS as a controller.
I'm also using MC 21 (Linux) running on a NUC as a renderer attached to a amplifier.

I use JRemote to setup a playlist and send that playlist to the MC 21 NUC.  Everything works quite well.

However,  when a track ends and a new one starts, the progress bar on the MC 22 server and on the JRemote IOS controller seems lag behind real-time .. it just sits there or jumps around for about 10-20 secs before settling down to display a steady progress.

Have I misconfigured MC on server-side or the renderer ?

Are you using the Sox resampler?

Not knowingly  ... where is that configured ?

To be clear ... the audio itself isn't delayed or lagged over a track change, everything plays just fine.  Its just the JRemote and MC server progress bar that's delayed.

I have been seeing that lately as well. I am definitely not using SoX (not for any reason I may add)

I have also been seeing a funny "Skip the second track" effect. Play an album track 1 is fine then MC skips to track 3. It very specific always track 2, if you start at trach 4 onwards it doesn't happen - weird.

I have just upgraded JRemote for the iOS 10 updates and it seems to have stopped , I'll confirm when I have checked some more
