Anyway to get it ?

Not in the pane

In the tree on the left

Just a plain Artist/Album

Sure but you have to edit the panes to get it.
You could edit the Artist (grouped) that comes with the new install
Edit the view scheme for Artist (grouped) and click populate tree and then rename it it just Artist.
Then go to your panes. Right click on the grouping pane title and remove column
Then go to the Year - album column and right click on the pane title and click column type - album

Hope that makes sense
