Title: Popped first CD... no sound
Post by: Woodchuck#1 on December 05, 2016, 06:56:08 pm
Well, I just popped a cd in the cd drawer and even though the volume is 100% on my laptop, I cannot hear a thing. Tried the headphones and still there is no sound. Anyone has any ideas as to why i'm not getting any sound?

go to playback devices in windows and make sure your sound card is selected.

if you play a file you should also see the meter on the right side of the devices window dancing

you can also use the "Configure" button to test your system config out.

Its working now after tweaking the device playback. It does not appear that I have the latest Windows 10 update as the screen looked a little different from what I saw on my google responses but I was able to find it. It appears that I had environments on and that was interfering with the HD sound driver.
