Is this possible in MC? If not, are there any plans to include it?

Yes, try it out. DVD -r,-rw,+r,+rw are supported. Multi-session on -rw,+rw is not working quite right yet. MC always writes an ISO file system, so some consumer players that only support UDF will not see the session.
