Report back if the markers are accurate. Is the short break in the middle correct (looks like commercial>10 seconds of programming>commercial)?
-
They seem to be off a bit.. I wiil test more and report back.
Thx
-
Thank you.
It did seem a little off here as well.
-
Do you mean the marks are a little off, or ComSkip is a little off?
-
Marks are off. Nothing you can do about comskip being off that is understood. I'll play with this tonight and let you know more.
Thx again for making this happen Yaobbing.
-
Yes, thanks!
It looks like the timeline markers all need to be moved to the right by about 35 seconds. So the skip occurs about 35 seconds already into the marker, and then starts playing again about 35 seconds after the marker.
Is there any hope of being able to toggle the automatic skipping in real time? So during playback, I want to turn the automatic skipping OFF but still use the manual skip buttons. Maybe the down arrow button can turn it off/on during playback?

That's pretty much what I noticed as well. I will confirm the # of seconds later tonight.
Now that we have visibility on comskip, I don't really see the need for an option to activate/deactivate it. And I'm OK with how MC deals with comskip as-is.
If I think the skip doesn't happen where it should I just use the skip buttons to bring me back and MC will automatically override Comskip for a few seconds (not enitrely sure how it exactly works but it works for me).

Yep, I confirm seeing the same thing. The markers are "early" by about 30-35 seconds.

For an upcoming new build:
Fixed: Commercial marks on position OSD were not positioned correctly.
-
I also fixed another related issue:
Fixed: ComSkip would skip forward too far if there is a non-zero start position set in Playback Range.
I downloaded ComSkip and ran it on a couple of recordings. The shorter recording (about 17 minutes) finished reasonably fast, but a longer one (3 hours) required the whole afternoon to process. Is this normally what it takes? Note that I did not use ComSkip Monitor, just manually ran ComSkip in a command prompt.

The donate version has some speed improvements. But i have not tested the difference myself.
-
v52 markers are spot on perfect. Thanks!
-
Same here. Markers are OK now thanks!
You also need the comskip donator version if you record in H264 format (ie using a capture card such as the colossus)
It's well worth it. The developer is very helpful AND courteous!
I also use comskip to generate .srt alongside edl markers to get subtitles for ATSC recordings.

Hi Developers, is "Comskip" the same thing as marking a Video or Audio track as an Edited Cue-Point to skip or jump to when FFwd or FRWD or clicking on the marker if the playing track progress Bar is Visible? Or in an Edit Mode if not Full Screen if this makes any sense?
I hoped my attached PDF Pic file explained all, but I've yet to find any posts that can do this simple task!
Many Thanks if this function is already in the latest version of MC which I'm willing to purchase if can do!
You guys are listening and it is much appreciated.
