I was having trouble with my Music Server. That issue is resolved however for some reason I now have duplicate copies of all my music. I thought I would uninstall JRiver and then re-install. That didn't work. Now I have 3 copies of all music. Can they be bulk deleted?
One other thing. When I delete the duplicate songs, my Music Server shows the songs in the list but can't play the songs.
If I don't delete the duplicate songs my Music Server sees the songs and plays them with no issues (including the duplicates). A real pain when trying to listen to an Album.
Seems like there is a file recognition issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Has anyone run into a similar problem where JRiver duplicates songs in the library? I know it happened when I uninstalled and then re-installed JRiver.
Is there a solution to eliminate the duplicate songs?
Thanks,
Anthony

You may have the same files in two locations. You can find out by using your mouse to hover over the two files and see the locations in the tooltips.

Jim:
I can see the songs are in two locations. iTunes and Music. It seems that when I delete the duplicate they appear again. Is my library auto importing and can I change that so once I delete they will not come back?
Thanks,
Anthony

that should work - but make sure to un-check the "fix broken links" box in the import options or they may come back again
are you implying you have two physical copies of your music?

I think I have two copies in JRiver. In my iTunes Library, I only have one copy. I unchecked "Fix Broken Links" and I will see if that eliminates the constant import. Funny it doesn't import all Albums. I will keep you posted.
Thanks,

Check your auto import settings. Tools > Import, then add or remove folders and edit to change what gets imported.

I will check my Auto Import settings.
Thanks for the help!

Solved.
I unchecked "Fix Broken links" and in the "Auto Import Settings" I added an action to "Exclude my Music Folder and subfolders". This worked. I no longer get duplicate songs imported into JRiver. If I purchase songs from iTunes or download music, I must delete the "Exclude Music Folder" so the music gets automatically imported into JRiver.
Thanks for the help.
