Title: MC audio

OK so I changed the default audio to JRiver got sweet audio. thx
watching football on the net so shut down MC
No sound
Launch MC and sound comes back
Is that right? Surely not??

That could happen if you are using the WDM driver feature in MC.

there are 3 options in MC audio device which don't say WDM
Tried all  and nether gives any sound in MC.

If your using the JRiver WDM it will also show that in Windows Control Panel >Sound. Also in the Windows>Sound properties check the properties under the tan Advanced.

gone back to my sound card (envy 24) as default audio and same

sorry- same for MC audio device.  All working fine without MC audio driver and no need to have MC on permanently.

This could be solved right away if you go to Options>Startup> Run on Windows Startup> and choose either of the options that include Media server.

That way you can use the JRiver sound device whether or not MC is running. If MC or the media server itself crashes (rare), you'll have to run MC once again to reset it.
