Title: Media Server does not see Pioneer Elite N-50
Post by: leonard on December 19, 2016, 07:23:59 pm
When I started using the software it would recognize the N50 but not play to it. The N50 says media format not supported. I've set and reset all the options, I've searched the help text with no hits. I uninstalled and reinstalled, software and registry entries, now it won't even recognize the N50. I can play a file thru my ASIO A/DAC which is USB, but I need to stream over the network. My frustration level is at defcon 4 so I've got to stop before insanity sets in (I keep doing the same thing over and over expecting different results). Can anybody give me guidance?

Some devices work in one direction but not the other.  You can tell the device to play from a server, but you can't play to it when using the server.  Pull vs. push.

Not all formats can be played on all devices.  You can tell MC to convert.  Tools > Options > Add or Edit Servers.

Look for user AndrewFG on the forum and try his analyzer.  Report what you find.
