Title: How to search for exact duplicates in the "name" field
Post by: davemccorkle on December 22, 2016, 01:46:04 pm
How can I setup a search for exact duplicates in the "name" field?

It sounds easy but not having any luck.

Thanks,

You beat me to it!

I was going to post this smartlist:
[Media Type]=[Audio] ~dup=[Name] ~sort=[Name]

Just in case anyone else cares!

Duplicate finding is a rather complicated problem.  This exact requirement of exact dupes of the [Name] field is easy enough.  But it only covers one of a BUNCH of cases.  I've spent quite a lot of time and energy on this at one time.

"Duration" fields also helps if you have many versions of the same song.
