i am using 9.1.219. i ripped every file (all 2608)with mc9. have it set to replay gain during upload, and a 12 db adjustment. but if i mark any given file on my ipod, it shows ? for audio analysis. do i need to re-analyze? or is it ok that they are analyzed on my c drive?
all things said, i have to say that tho mc9 is a neat program, my stiff still sounds like it's at different levels when i play my pod
thanks tho

I don't own an ipod so take this with a grain of salt.
MC's implementation of Replay Gain doesn't effect the files at all. It only stores some data in the file that MC then reads back to adjust the volume accordingly. If the ipod doesn't have this capability, or if it doesn't read the same data the same way, then it's not going to work.
One way to work around this is to use MP3Gain (I think that's what it's called) to analyze the files. It will actually change the files so that they will play at the same volume on any player, whether that player is capable of volume leveling or not.
