There are some alignment tags for the popular srt format (perhaps for other text formats too, don't know) that allow basic position alignment, could you please consider supporting them?
Top-left: {\an7} - Top-center: {\an8}
Top-right: {\an9} - Middle-left: {\an4}
Middle-center: {\an5} - Middle-right: {\an6}
Bottom-left: {\an1} - Bottom-right: {\an3}

Anyone?

We can probably do this. Can you provide an example subtitle file that uses these?

Thank you. There are some in the attached file, right at the beginning. They coincide with hard-coded English subtitles in this case, that's why alignment is required (to avoid what's happening in the screenshot).

Subtitle Edit (http://www.nikse.dk/subtitleedit/) is one of the programs that can add such tags in subtitle files, including .srt.

This should be supported as of 22.0.75. Luckily we already had all sorts of alignment handling, just needed to parse the tags. :)

Many thanks Hendrik! :)
