Title: Panel Issue
Post by: Blue Boy on January 07, 2017, 06:54:07 am
Hi,

I just downloaded the trial version of 22 so the version is 22.0.54, and did this beacause of the new feature panels. My problem is that when typing in my IP adress and the 52199 the browser returns page can't be found. I tried both on the same computer that has MC22 installed and from my Win10 phone. My network is wireless and hooked to a Netgear router. I did find my IP adress when searchin Internet have no
secure program installed.
Please anyone what is my problem, is there any settings in MC22? Tried all the menys but didn't find anything about panels.

Kindly Blue Boy

No, if not windows have any tricks in background. Just cheecked and dissabled windows defender.
Is there any settings to do in MC22? I do have a password for my router but both computer and phone works with no problem.

Try  connecting from the same machine.
Is the IP address correct?

I have googled my own IP adress and get the same result from various sites. I have tried to just write the 52199 on the same machine as well together with the IP adress. Both on the computer where MC resides and my Telephone.

I have an APP on my phone MCEffect and that works okay so there is no problem with the Wifi Connection.
I have wrote like this:  http://XX.XXX.XXX.XX.52199 the X is of course my IP address.  Is this the correct?

On the machine where MC is running and where Media Server is active, you should be able to get Panel showing by typing either:

http://192.168.0.10:52199 (but using your IP address, not 192.168.0.10)

or

http://localhost:52199

I think this is in the Panel article on our wiki.

Try in another browser if it doesn't work.

Yepp, I did try Another browser with localhost, when using explorer it asked to search for an app in the store.

I'm on W8.1. I changed to Firefox and it worked with the localhost, nice I'm in the game  ;D. Now i just need to find a new browser for my phone.

The localhost link just proves that MC is running and you can access panel.  The IP address link should also work, unless the IP address is wrong or ...
