Hi Folks,
last week-end I was in a party and some kids where doing some fancy dancing. So I decided to use the video mode of my digital camera to capture some steps.
I don't use my still camera in video mode very often so I ended up with an AVI file that is rotated 90 degs.
Unfortunately and unlike jpg, avis can' be rotated with MC.
Do you know of any utility that can rotate such a video file ?
My neck will be grateful if you can help me on this one !

I find VirtualDub to be one of the best applications for video work. It's under the GNU General Public License and can be found at http://www.virtualdub.org/index.
There are many filters available... I don't remember if the "rotate" is built-in or downloadable (the site http://neuron2.net/main.html is the repository for filters), but I've used it many times.
If you have any questions about using VirtualDub, don't hesitate to ask... I'm not exactly an expert, but I know how to do what you're asking.

It works, thanks a lot ! There is a 'rotation' filter in the default distribution and I was even able to re-encode my AVI with some other compression scheme.
Vdub looks like a great utility for video processing. Thanks again for the tip and for my neck ! :)
