Hi group,
I'm trying to move music and image files to MC22 on a new computer. I tried to transfer both from an external hard drive, but I get the message "the file could not be found. Check that the filename in the library matches the filename on the disk."
I went into the library function and renamed the files from "g" drive to "c" drive using the function. I tried to play them, but I still got an error message. I closed MC22 and restarted it, and now those files are no longer there.
Can you folks point me in a direction that might solve this?
Thanks...
J

There's something I'm not getting. I've done this a few times. I copy the files to the new computer, and instruct MC to import from the new directory and it works like a champ. Images as well as music. Are you trying to avoid rebuilding the library for some reason?

Can you make sure that the filename path in MC matches the actual location in Windows Explorer?
