Title: Listening to j.river via uPnP on xstreamer prodigy
Post by: kpsaari on January 11, 2017, 07:54:25 am
I use JRiver MC22 uPnP on my Xstreamer Prodigy. It works well, however the music is devided in only a few gategories (artist, album, file and only few others).

Ho ever, if I listen to same music from my network station uPnP, the music gets devided under more gategories to choose from (album+artist, artistindex, by folder, etc.)

Is it possible to get more gategories to J. Rivers uPnP, so it would be similar to my network stations uPnP?

Two suggestions..

1. Rather than using the renderer to pull tracks from MC, why don't you use MC to push to the renderer instead? That way you can have all the views you want.

2. If nevertheless you insist on going the pull route, then in MC look at Tools, Options, Media Network, Configure DLNA Servers, Customize Views..
