Title: How synchronized is a linked zone?

I would like to output different channels from a single multichannel audio file to different linked zones and play them in the same room.  It seems fairly easy to do this but my concern is that, since each output device/DAC has its own clock, they may not be sufficiently synched to sound correct during playback over the long term.
