It appears that someone (http://gtkpod.sourceforge.net/) has figured out how to synchronize the Playcounts (and Ratings for 3G iPods) with a PC... albeit running Linux.
Is there any way a similar method could be used by MC9?
Obviously, the website doesn't explain exactly what process they use, but I believe it is open source, so someone with a lot more understanding of coding then I possess might be able to do something with it.

Klingler,
iPod has a file stored on it called "Play Counts". If the firmware enables the storage of Play Count and Rating information, this is where this information should be stored. Using Firmware 2.0, this appears not to work. If you or anyone succesfully can get iPod to retain your Play Count or Rating information after you unplug and reconnect your iPod, I would be glad to enable this feature. All you would need to do is tell me what combination of hardware and firmware you used to get your iPod to retain this info and I will be all set.
