Title: Interesting playlist sharing question
Post by: djfalstaff on January 17, 2017, 08:52:47 pm
I'm not sure if this is possible but I figured that someone here might have tried something similar before.
Here's my question broken down.
Two friends are both using JRiver with similar musical tastes but using different OSes, file structures, and tagging methods.
The want to share playlists (not the actual files)
Person A creates a 30 track playlist to share with Person B
Person B owns 20 of tracks but their file structure is different than Person A
The other 10 are tracks they might want to buy and add to their library at some point.
It's almost like you are sharing a 30 track library search that tells you what you already have and what you might want to purchase to complete the list.
Does anyone have a idea on how to do this?

Thanks I never would have guessed Dr. Who was what I was looking for.
I think I removed that when I didn't know what it was.
How do I get it back?

It's in the list of Features under Options > General.

I got it turned on again and created a username and password.
Then I uploaded a small playlist but I can't tell if it worked.
How do I see what I uploaded?

I'm not sure if this behavior is correct.
If I try to download a playlist, it just shows me some XML.
I took a screenshot video and put it on my google drive.

When you log in to Dr.Who, you should see a screen listing all member's playlists. Then you can find your uploaded playlist and expand it to see what songs you included.

As you can see in my video, I do get a list of users on the right hand side.
The formatting is a little off compared to your screenshot though. It is because I'm using Chrome as the internal browser engine?
I don't see myself listed in the list after uploading a playlist and I my downloads of playlists contain the issue listed in my video.

I uploaded a video of me using the right click function to upload a normal and smart playlist to Doctor Who to youtube.

Is there a way to embed youtube videos in the forums?
