Title: Problem with dropouts during browsing library in JRemote (covers)
Post by: klapaciuss on January 18, 2017, 01:51:09 pm
Hello. I have problem with dropouts when I am using JRemote Android application.

Multimedia setup:
1)   JRiver MC 22.0.54 on PC with Windows
2)   USB DAC Casea Lynx connected directly to this PC
3)   Music files on NAS connected to this PC via SAMBA share
4)   Control point – JRemote on Android tablet

When I am listening only - all is OK. But when I start browsing across library on JRemote during playback there are sometimes dropouts. It is probably connected with cover images displaying in JRemote. It is very slow. When I open genre with 60 albums action takes from 5 to 10 seconds than all cover images are displayed. During this process there are sometimes dropouts. Not very loud but annoying. All cover images are stored in tags of FLAC files.

Problem is the same with hi-res files and low-res files (dropout frequency is the same). I tried change buffer size but problem is not dependent on buffer size. I am using feature “Load files to memory at the start of playback”.  I am also using DRC via convoler and resampling engine.

Have you any recommendation for me? Thanks in advance.
