Title: Sync handheld really slow

I realize this has been discussed before, wondering if there's anything new.

Have MC22 for Windows, Moto Z with Android Nougat, playlist with about 1900 songs.

When I attach the phone via USB and MTP protocol, it says "device already synced." When I say "recheck sync" and bring up the "details" window, it says "working" and sits there for about half an hour or longer.

I usually give up and just export the files and manually copy them.

I've let it finish a couple of times, and they sync seems to work and goes pretty fast after the initial scan.

Is there anything I can do to speed this up?

I'm experiencing the same problem with Sync Handheld.
"Working" message stays for a very long time, so long I've never seen it finishing the job.

I've been using this feature for the last ten years at least without hiccup.
