Title: Any way to segregate podcasts when syncing to devices?
Post by: Bill Kearney on January 30, 2017, 03:37:28 pm
I know I can use a variety of variables when syncing tracks to handheld devices (like a microSD card configured as such).

Is there a variable to detect if a track is from a podcast?

As in, music into:

device\Music\Artist\Album\Track

And Podcasts into:

device\Podcasts\Title\Track

I see that Podcasts are getting their metadata set to the same value for Artist and Album.  I also realize there's only one expression available for pathname creation.

How would I go about creating different pathname strings based on the different types?

I've followed up my own post, here:

Yes, there is a way to segregate Podcasts out when syncing devices.  Expressions to the rescue!
