Title: REQ: .gif support as Cover Art

Depending on the cover, .gif is sometimes a more appropriate format for Cover Art. Are there plan to include Cover Art .gif support?

Hrm, I spoke too soon, but it doesn't appear to work using the Quick Find in File / Cover Art function.

For example, drop the Tool - Undertow graphic from Amazon in a directory. Make sure it's the only graphic file because I know MC won't try & differentiate which one is correct. Then right-click, Cover Art, Quick Find, and it won't recognize the .gif. The .gif can be found here:

MC9 does not look at the GIF code to see if it is GIF it only looks at the extender and if the wrong extender is on the GIF then it will not show it.

I reported this a few months ago.
