Title: JRiver MC 22 Crashing Laptop
Post by: Tgterm on March 03, 2017, 01:06:19 pm
Hi -

I have just set my MC installation in the following manner, in order to play .dsf files...but I also use MC to play flac, mp3, and other file formats that reside in the same library:

Audio Device: Parasound Digital Audio KS Direct (ASIO)
Bitstreaming: Yes (DSD)

And now my .dsf files play well.

But, when I try to play another format like mp3 or wma under these same settings, my new HP laptop crashes and reboots.  Not a very elegant way to fail, but what am I doing wrong here?  Am I not able to play lower resolution audio files under those same settings?  Is there a way in MC to manage this?

Thank you.
