Is it possible to use the Media Network features of MC to create RTSP streams? If so, could I take all 3 of my HDHomeRun tuners and stream them to a location?
Use case is that I work for a software company that utilizes video across multiple displays, and we have a product that can take RTSP streams and send them to a video wall. It would be awesome if I could use MC to create those streams without having to go to a dedicated PC as a 'middle man'.

I don't think MC can create RTSP streams as it is now. MC can play RTSP streams.
Your HDHomeRun tuners are RTSP servers that stream cable channels to clients.

Yes, although, I think we can only handle h264 and mjpeg (the tech is designed for IP Cameras). I was hoping to use MC to encode to h.264 on the fly as well.
One of our developers is looking into it. He was actually one of the original developers of Sage TV, so he knows his stuff when it comes to this. If I can get it to work it will be very cool!

If you think we could help you in a meaningful way, please send me an email. I'm jimh at jriver.

At the risk of not being relevant to your original goal, I thought I would mention that glynor created a video wall using MC a while back.

It's been a while.

Very cool!
Here is a picture from a tradeshow last October that I was at. The video wall in the background is run by our software, and the PC in the foreground is our control station. We work over ethernet using software and distributed computing as opposed to the traditional hardware box.

Here are 2 more to show a much larger wall that was under construction a few months ago that I helped commission.

Very cool.

Back on track...Jim, if I can think of a way that you guys can help, that doesn't involve crazy additions to MC, I will email. Thanks.
