I'm a newbie looking for help with JRiver remote. Just recently the app on my iPhone (iOS 10.2.1) continually says "no content found" when selecting an album to play from my PC (current version of JRiver unknown, purchased 3 years ago). Everything works fine: album art appears, multi album sets appear, but as soon as I select an album I get the no content found screen. I deleted and reinstalled the app to no avail. I've also tried iPads and it's still the same. Any ideas? All is fine if I access the music directly from the PC using JRiver. It sure makes playing music difficult!

Make sure you're connecting to the right server.
Restart the server.

It is connected to the proper server. Everything works perfectly until I select an album then I get the message. Restarting the server allows it to work one time then it goes right back to displaying "no content found". Do I need a more current version of JRiver? I updated the remote app.

This is support.
You said your version of MC is old. How old? What version is it?
Did you try the JRemote instruction thread on this board?
Your firewall may be causing trouble. The instructions should help.

I'm using MC version 19. The confusing thing is nothing has been changed, unless an unknown Windows update did it. Restarting the server allows me to play about 4 songs but then I'm back to "no content available " and a return arrow symbol when I choose an album to play. I'll try the JRemote thread also.

If it was working and now it's not, then it could be network related or OS. Try powering everything down, including the network, and back up.

I shut everything down: modem, router, server. After restarting everything remote will allow 5 songs (from different albums OR the same album) to be played then it starts to display "No content found here. Press button to go back". All the albums are displayed along with artwork, but I can't access the songs. My system will be worthless if I can't get the remote to work.

How about antivirus on the server?

How do I download 22.0.88? Do I need to disable any anti virus first? Server is a Music Vault built by Neal Van Berg with Sound Science. He has no answers for me either.

Uninstall the antivirus software from your server as a test.
22.0.88 is at the top of the MC22 board.

Found out the drive controlling my OS and data migration is failing. Could be as simple as that. I'm putting my money (literally) on that being the cause of my issues. Thanks JimH, I'll keep my fingers crossed!

I now have the exactly the same problem with jremote. Can you please share how to fix it? My music library is stored inside a QNAP NAS, what test I have to do to pin point the failing component (hhd)?

jremote works on my older iPads and iPhone 4S , is already installed time ago.
The new install on my iPhone SE with latest IOS 10.3 is not possible because JRemote is missing in the App Store !
When will it be available again ?

It response to mmam it wound up to be a failing C drive. On it are all my servers operating programs. It's an SSD drive, the sign it was failing was when I tried to download the recent version of MC and kept getting a message that the download failed because the drive was full. Had it replaced and all is good again. Good luck, it's a frustrating place to be in!
