Title: Prevent MC from writing tags to a specific file type?

I am fighting a constant issue with .wtv files and Media Center constantly deadlocking on 'saving tags' to these types of files. Is there any way to tell MC to NOT save tag information (or to always use the sidecar) for specific file types?
