Please name any devices you know about or use.  This is an area I don't know much about.

whereby it would be fantastic to be able add an RTSP (or HTTP) stream to the television part of MC, so we can assign a channel number etc.

Yes - I'm looking forward to the new version and will see how it goes with other IP dev like the one linked above, IP Cams etc.... (travelling for a few days however).

Nope - none of the current Manual TV options lets you enter a IP address of Video Device (IP Capture Device etc) such as:
TS URL：http://192.168.1.168/0.ts 
HLS URL:http://192.168.1.168/0.m3u8 
RTSP URL:rtsp://192.168.1.168/0
